Trio SURCARI derives its name by combining sur, the Spanish word for south (as in Sur América), and Cari, the first four letters of the word Caribbean. The members of Trio Surcari are originally from Chile and Puerto Rico.
|
Performances of varied pieces selected from Trio Surcari‘s extensive repertoire are drawn from the trio's many artistic influences (classical, folk, afro, jazz, world and flamenco). Their concerts consist of their own original compositions as well as sparkling arrangements of traditional and contemporary music from Latin America, the Andes, the Spanish Caribbean and Spain.
